Biology is a discipline of natural science that studies living organisms, including their origin, structure, function, maturation, evolution, and categorization. The sub-disciplines of biology are classified depending on the scale at which organisms are researched and the methods used to examine live beings: molecular biology studies the intricate interplay of living things' systems. Even though all of biology's subcategories are linked by fundamental principles, they are divided into various branches for the convenience of study. Although it is common practice to separate the study of plants (botany) from that of animals (zoology), and the study of an organism's structure (morphology) from its function (physiology), all living creatures share some biological phenomena in common, such as different forms of reproduction, cell division, and genetic material transmission.
